He *is* the kind of capital asset that other teams might want. How upset would you be if the A ballers are 50s?

We arent the damn Pirates. I dont care if we get 50's for Imanaga if they are in A ball. Jed can horsefeathers himself if he makes trades like that after 4 years of garage baseball. I would hope Ricketts would veto the deal and promptly fire Jed right after.

I know Anthony Santander isn’t a good fielder but I wouldn’t hate him as a DH - RF splitting time with Suzuki . Seems like he has found himself as a hitter at age 29 .

Lots of HR , switch hits , really good numbers with RISP the last 2 years . Yes I would like Soto but that ain’t happening .

Also unless he goes on a tear when he comes back , Bellinger may actually stay next year .  Bellinger in CF with Santander - Suzuki as RF / DH .

I mean, he's a slighty worse hitting, slightly worse defensive Seiya. Either Seiya needs to be replaced in RF by a guy who can not be a total liability out there or Seiya needs to stay in RF but the DH has to be a significant enough bat to make tolerating Seiya's defense more palatable.

Between Happ Seiya Swanson and Bellinger you can have 13 runs above average for $94 million just this year.

for $25 million and 20 runs above average you could’ve had Marcus Simean for example. He’d give us 15 more runs than Dansby and Suzuki combined for $17 million less AAV if Jed went that route instead in 2021/22 offseason.

nice roster building Jed. Thanks tourists and college kids for packing wrigley and giving Tom no incentive to put a winning product on the field

Whelp Craig finished xeroxing yesterdays lineup for today. 🫠

I'm actually a big fan of the Earl Weaver method of managing.

This may be a completely wrong take however, doesn’t a winning team potentially make more money than a losing team?

Theoretically it is possible but owners are primarily risk averse cowards that want guaranteed profits. Some are willing to risk a loss for greater gains. But if profits are guaranteed there is little to no incentive to take the risks.

Love that our #5 hitter constantly hits balls that are right down the middle on the ground to short or third #elite

I’ve come accept the fact that Morel is not an everyday player, he’s a bench/depth player on a good team.  Unfortunately, it took a lost season to learn this.

Did he name-drop Bill Murray yet today?

I have been taking a few 10 minute breaks between play.

So I would like to say, yes, yes he did. And probably multiple times.

So in the time it took me to heat some food up, eat and come back in front of the TV. Royals are now leading 4-3 and Cubs are bases loaded. Such a Cubs thing to have happen
