I have lost count of the number of swing-and-misses on pitches that are horribly far out of the strike zone.

Plate discipline absolutely sucks. Across the board.

Yeah I don’t think our problem is with not finding trash heap guys to be effective relievers, it’s that we try to build the entire bullpen out of them most years.

These days, Ben Brown may be turning into must-see tv. I know he’s better off in the bullpen in the long run but I sure want this guy to be a starter so bad.

Yep. “Pitch count” is such an overrated thing. He’s a 24 year old who has been pitching for years. His arm isn’t going to fall off.
