Hey Rcal, Just thinking back: if Jim riggleman yanked Kerry wood back in 1998 during his Wrigley debut because of pitch count, we would not have seen his 20 k masterpiece?

Just saying.

Who couldn't see that coming from a thousand miles away?  Bullpen follows through with the scheduled blown save, so horsefeathers predictable and pathetic.

I feel the worst for Ben Brown.  He was so horsefeathering good tonight. Not his fault his team couldn't put up 4 runs in a tee-ball game right now.

It really would've made my night easier if they just overturned it so I could give up on this one

And perhaps, if Riggleman and others had taken a little more precaution, we'd have gotten a full career out of Kerry Wood instead of the protracted one we got.

There's what ifs everywhere. I'd rather the Cubs be safe than chase a no-hitter. No hitters are cool, but Brown's health is more cool.

If the Cubs lose this, it's less to do with Brown being pulled (he was never getting the 9th) and more to do with rest of the team. A team who is clearly struggling to win and with confidence right now.

God the Cubs suck. I don’t even care at this point if they lose.

I turned it off.  I'll still follow it but I'm not doing extra innings right now.

You have to make some offensive changes NOW. This is ridiculous. Play PCA, Vázquez, Caissie, Davis. We need a spark. Amaya, Happ, Swanson, Wisdom, Madrigal, are all black holes

This is not the worst Cubs team I've had the pleasure of following but its among the most detestable right now.

When the post sell off team was getting crushed over and over again at least they were likable in a "this is what would happen if Little Leaguers tried to play in the bigs" way.

Our starting pitchers gave up 14 scoreless innings the last 2 days.  All the other 24 players on the roster had to do is score more runs in 18 innings than the bullpen allowed in 4 innings and they failed twice.
