Wisdom is paid to get a fly ball deep enough. Otherwise keep Mervis sheesh.

Curious if they let Myers go back out there.  40 pitches in an inning seems to be the universal line for "that's it you're done for the day" and Myers threw 37 so it's just about there.

Maybe I’m just a bitter meatball, but even as bad as things have been offensively, I’m more upset they didn’t score more than I am grateful for the two runs. So frustrating.

The Cubs just had their starter wipe out the side on 7 pitches and then score 2 runs while pushing the opposing starter to nearly 40 pitches.  If your instinctual response to that inning is lamenting what didn't happen, maybe reconsider how that mindset can rob you of a lot of enjoyment in watching sports.

Or we can let people process their lives without the need to tell someone how they should enjoy something.
