Yeahhhhh, I think so.  I think it's defensible either way. If i had to choose *right now*, I'd take Fields for the rest of the season on upside.

That's pretty much the only thing left to do at this point. They're not going to win any meaningful games with Bagent, so might as well see if Fields can somehow, some way, by some miracle, flip the switch.

People are going to ... I don't wanna say "overreact" because we really are a bad team, but we're not going to lose all our games like this.  Getting our teeth kicked in by KC didn't stop us from going 2-2 in the next four with two close losses. There's plenty of bad teams on our remaining schedule and we'll beat some of them.

Yeah, I think I just don't care that Bagent is probably a little better than Fields.  He's done his job and provided contrast to show what quick throws, NFL open and line adjustments are supposed to look like.  He can go back to obsurity again.

edit: specifically Hamp and OB to be fair which is meatball central. They hate Fields and the complaints about him are ridiculous. Right now they are yelling about him wearing sunglasses during the game and not standing next to Getsy.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Chargers pass defense is somehow worse than ours. I don't literally think the Bears defensive backs are the worst when looking at the talent when healthy. However, the inability to put any pressure whatsoever on the QB makes it virtually impossible for the DB's to do their job. 

I'm quite speechless that Eberflus feels so comfortable in his own skin that he can take the entire final two minutes of play off. I wasn't expecting a score or anything extravagant, but just letting the clock run out with 2 minutes and 3 times outs was exactly what I didn't want to see there.

Don't know if he took another snap after that, maybe, if we're lucky, it was his last play as a Bear.  Poles cut his losses with Claypool, now it's time to do likewise with VJJ.

They showed a shot of Kevin Warren in the owner's box last night and he looked about the way you'd expect him to look with this team. I'm almost sure that Poles is not going to get fired, but he should.

The bears did leave about 100 yards of passing offense on the table from ref/drop issues. They could have done more but chose to be a running team when down 3 scores
