Were they trying to bait the catcher to throw to 2nd? Has to be the case right? No way PCA flat got picked off 3rd with 2 outs

might not have even been a “play”, PCA might have just got faked out by the pump fake and was trying to be aggressive. Something Javy would do. Definitely a mistake but I can understand what he was thinking. Can’t get picked off a 3rd with 2 outs and your hottest hitter up in a playoff like game when your only job is to run the bases and play great defense

Sorry yeah I am watching but it was such an inexplicable occurrence I was wondering if the Cubs planned it but doesn’t make any sense so guess not.

I don’t think canario really brings anything unique to this team right now and is clearly going to be the one to go down when jeimer is ready, but wouldn’t care much at all if they decided on PCA instead.

White Sox were up 4-1 . Runners 1st and 3rd one out . Marte hits a sure DP ball to Ureña who throws the ball into CF , giving them 2 runs . Then Carrol hits a grounder that they had no chance to turn 2 . Instead of taking the out at second , Anderson came off the bag because Jr wanted to turn the DP on Carrol.
