I can’t believe we can say things like “only 5 runs”. This team is a trip

This weekend is going to be really crucial. Reds host the Nats and Brewers get the Pirates while the Cubs have to hold on against the Braves

Yea they can't give the last 3 games back, hopefully they get some help from Nats and Pirates too.

I would go so far as to say these are must-wins

I'm not going to sweat this weekend as long as we take 1 game.  I think we can win the series though.  But these games are less important than the last 4 were, which were less important than the previous 10 were.  There's 53 games left this year and we only have to make up 2-3 games of ground as it stands.

Edit: Feel free to find this post when I'm complaining about the Braves being up 5-0 early tomorrow.

I thought Derek Thomas (home plate ump) called a damn good game. I’ve known his dad for many years and this followed his minor league career. It’s crazy how accurate he was leading up to the ejection.

I am trying to stay grounded here, but it is hard. Granted the Braves are coming to town and most of the posters here are saying "look out for the Braves" Truth is that the team with the highest winning pct. in the majors right now plays their home games at Wrigley. Sure, it could be a let down, but I am staying positive. I think we are better than most people give us credit for. Lets go boys!

I think this series really validated what the run diff and base runs stats were telling us about both teams and that's good enough for me. I'm feeling good leading up to this series because of what just happened

It’s baseball and hot and cold streaks happen etc. But that reds pitching staff just isn’t good enough. So in my mind it’s just us and Milwaukee. Going to be a fun two months either way.

Let's do to Milwaukee what they did to us in 2018 (except let's just win the division outright).

EDIT: 23.9% for the division, 38% for the playoffs per Fangraphs.

If that’s the case we just need to pass Arizona and Miami as well to get a WC spot assuming SD doesn’t creep back into it.
