I'm actually starting to feel a little bit of pity for them, they are just abysmal. Like maybe all-time bad.

I hate them still, but I find it a bit harder to luxuriate in Sox schadenfreude with Hawk out of the public eye. If he were still in the booth, it would be like porn.

Stone is still pretty douchey, so there’s that. I feel bad for Len.

Through 24 games the White Sox are now on pace to go 20W 142L and be outscored by 554 runs. Last year the 50 win Oakland As were out scored by 339 runs.

He made his decision

No kidding. I'm sure there was more to it but it sure felt at the time like it was a 'well, the Cubs are gonna suck for a while and the Sox are on the uptick and I want to call playoff games' thing and...that did not work for him.

We are now 25 games into the season, and the White Sox have scored a total of 20 runs at Guaranteed Rate field.

The Reds scored a total of 26 runs at Guaranteed Rate field in 3 games.

How have they not fired the manager yet?  I get that it’s largely not his fault that they are this bad and that firing him won’t change anything in the short term but I feel like you have to do something. The guy brings nothing to the table and you need to show your fans you give a horsefeathers

Yes, Jerry Reinsdorf is all about showing fans he gives a horsefeathers for all the teams he owns.

No they don't. Fans love a good tank these days. They should hope that their only assets perform well and bring them some interesting prospects.

The White Sox really have been one of the worst franchises in the history of Major League Baseball.  When have they ever had sustained success. And they hardly ever make the playoffs.  And when they do, they almost always fizzle out right away.  What other franchise is worse over the course of their history??

They've made the playoffs 11 times in 120 seasons! That seems hard to do.

For much of their existence, only two teams made the playoffs. I'd say they've suffered the same curse as the Cubs, bad ownership.

Yeah, and they were also in the same league as the Yankees which made it tougher. But 7 playoff appearances in the 50 years since baseball first expanded the playoffs. And they have 5 in the WC Era but I don’t know how to look up how that ranks compared to all the other teams.

South Siders scored 9 runs last night against Tampa (seriously, they did), and then scored 8 tonight in the walk off 8-6 win over the Rays.  Their first "winning streak" of the season.

I wouldn’t ever want to do a Q type trade again, but if the Cubs must do one in the future, I would hope it doesn’t do much to turn the other team into a contender. Cease is in San Diego now and Jimenez is playing on a 5-22 team.

They’ve now lost 11 in a row and 15 of 16 and are 15-45 on the year with a -138 RD.

This got me to look up the 2023 A’s, who were 12-48 after 60 games with a -210 RD. So it could be worse!

They may be bad but at least they've had some company lately:

Barring one of the greatest comebacks in MLB history, the White Sox we have lost 14 in a row and 18 out of 19 following tonight's game. That will be them at .238 winning% and on pace for a 39-123 record. This would be the worst winning% in a season since the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics.
