Jets fired Morton. Nice to see a tough, correct call by this otherwise hapless org based on analytics. His offense ranked 24th overall per FO, 22nd and 26th against the pass. By comparison under Bowles and Gailey in 2015 they finished 14th with a top 10 passing game using the same metrics. Plus he just said or did dumb things all year. Todd Haley, please!

I saw two blatant holding calls on critical NE drives that never got called. Holding happens on nearly every play, I get it, but it's not very often I blurt out the most obvious and noticeable holding calls, but I did it twice in that game. There was actually a third one when the Pats ran left to get the first down to inevitably end the game. There was a receiver holding a guy up, allowing the RB to turn the corner. That one probably wouldn't have mattered, but the other two are drive killers. Ignoring penalties can turn the tide on a game as much as calling them. The officials are guilty of that, for sure.
