If Carolina can't win a playoff game in which Cam Newton leads the offense to 26 points on top of making 2 perfect TD throws (that his cadre of no-name receivers failed to catch), then they're just never going to win it all.

The good news is that there's a 50/50 chance the next owner moves the team in 2 years, so maybe I won't have to care anymore after that.

Really? To where?

Whoever is willing to bilk their taxpayers into paying for a palace like Atlanta's. Supposedly BoA Stadium is "outdated" at 20 years old.

Cam is back on the field 5 minutes after collapsing to the turf pretty obviously concussed

Eh. I wouldn't say he "collapsed". He was walking off the field and went down probably to avoid his team having to call a timeout or get a delay of game penalty. He looked pretty under control to me. Also, "obviously concussed" is a severe overstatement. You don't have the ability to diagnose a concussion on TV, and you can be woozy without getting a concussion. He was likely seeing stars, but you can't determine if he had a concussion based on watching a play on TV.

I'll check my armchair MD at the door but in a couple days after the floods of Cam played concussed articles I'll die a little inside. We see enough of them every week to have a pretty good feel for when they occur. He had his brain rattled on that hit. He wouldn't be the first one to be allowed to play with one after clearing protocol.

What a win. Saints and Falcons win next week and the NFC title games goes through the Dome.

Playoff experienced Falcons vs. Nick Foles. Drew Brees vs. Case Keenum. Vikings beat the Saints in Week 1, but that was with Sam Bradford and Dalvin Cook. This is what I've been expecting to happen since the playoff seedings were set.

I was telling someone before the playoffs that the NFC Champ will come from the NFC South, just not sure of who that is.

I don’t see any way that happens. also they just pumped a [expletive] of money into renovations like 2 years ago. there’s nothing wrong with the stadium. it’s actually a great place to sit and watch a game

I watched a Rodney Peete led Panthers game in that Stadium. Nice area around there too.

there are few cities I enjoy more than Charlotte. as much as I dislike the team, the area and atmosphere are tremendous

Yeah, and I feel certain that he was subject to concussion protocol under that tent.

We've seen plenty of instances this year where a guy was concussed, went under their tent, "passed" concussion protocol and came back into the game. He shouldn't have gone back in the game.

Not disagreeing with that, just that it is presumptuous to say he was let back into the game with a concussion. Hopefully it’s investigated.

I love the fact that CBS’s pregame show spent 80% of their time hyping the Steelers only to have Jacksonville absolutely throttle Pittsburgh in the first half

That second Steeler TD (on 4th and 11) could be huge, though

Hey, I’ve got a 250 pound QB and it’s 4th and inches. Do you think I should sneak it with him? Nope I’m going to run a toss play and a pass instead. So dumb.

Plus when they got called for intentional grounding with 40 seconds left, they should have spiked it and kicked a FG. Instead, they wasted all the time left to get a TD.
