Will this off season be looked back on as a bit of a "bubble burst" when it comes to salaries? I guess it depends on who signs for what, but the rate at which salaries have been growing over the past decade seems to have hit a wall. In past years, there is no way guys like Darvish, JD Martinez, etc. would still be unsigned. Have the players finally reached too far?

As a whole, no players have not gone too far. But you can also think Hosmer and JD Martinez asking for $200+ million and seemingly holding out for that is going too far and not be anti-player.

Smoking meat is awesome, obviouusly, but if I want some pulled pork on a random Tuesday, it's obviously not gonna happen. But I can get that nice low and slow cooking minus the smoke and still go to work that day. It's like 75% as good with approx 10% the effort.
