Coghlan didn't touch 3B last night. Lol. The Cardinals 3B wasn't watching. Their defense is sooooo bad.

I also enjoyed listening to the Cardinals broadcasters make fun of Gibbons last night for not being a good NL manager because after the 9th he was left without position players and the pitcher's spot was due up 5th in the 10th. Well, Stroman hit in that pitcher's spot in the 11th and got the 2B that lead to him scoring on the Cardinals 4th E of the night. Big runs scored in the 7th, 9th and 11th all due to Cardinals errors.

I know that the results don't always mean the method was correct (although I think Gibbons did just fine making the personnel moves he made to have a lead going into the bottom of the 9th). But the Cardinals announcers aren't smart enough to figure any of that out as they went on and on about how the Cardinals were able to tie the game in the 9th because Wong put a good bunt down and people who are anti-bunt are idiots and don't understand giving yourself up for the betterment of the team.

I also laughed at how they had an AL pitcher at the plate, their defense had him played to hit the ball the other way, and they threw him an offspeed pitch high in the zone. I know he just missed location, but still bad pitch selection.

Grichuk with some heads-up base running.

And Wong getting picked off 2B with no outs and the Cardinals trailing 1-0 at the time. And 2 errors thus far. The Cardinal announcer's frustration is palatable.

Grichuk a 2 run homer to tie in the 9th. Carp a walk off Grand slam in the 11th. Yeah, they deserved that one as well as they played throughout the game.

anyone else watching the 9th of the Phillies/Dodgers game? Phillies up 5-2 going into the bottom of the 9th, and the Dodgers hit 3 consecutive dingers to tie it

Not even the best "Dodgers hit X consecutive HRs to tie game in the 9th" of the last 15 years

The Nats have scored 23 runs so far. 7 homers. Anthony Rendon is 6-6 with 3 homers, 5 runs and 10 RBIs.

I immediately went to look at how big his stats for the season are with such a huge game.

He now has......three homers and 15 RBI.

Girardi jockin Maddon right now.

Mitchell pitched the 9th down 2 runs, Yanks tied it in the bottom half. Joe has mostly depleted his pen and Aroldis is pitching the 10th, so they're gonna bring Mitchell back for the 11th if it goes that long.

Mitchell caught 1 of the 2 balls he attempted to field.
