The Cubs are playing in the last baseball game of the season in all the league.

I like how when the Chapman trade happened, it was panned by most. And the only justification for it was "If you get to Game 7 of the World Series, you want him on the mound in the 9th inning." In reality, you have no idea how it will play out, or if you'll even need him, or if he'll even matter. And then Strop and Rondon get hurt and turn into suck. And then Game 5 happens. And now, here we are at Game 7 of the World Series. Gleyber can kiss my ass. Edited by Duke Silver

Cubs, please open up a nice 3 run lead early. My body simply can't take 9 innings of a close ball game.

Smoltz said his prediction for game 7 was extra innings, and my immediate reaction was to want to barf. Noooooooooooo thanks.

I also want to say that the name of my unborn child may be decided by what happens in this game.

It'll either by Kyle or FuckCorey. Kyle because of Kyle Hendricks, and FuckCorey because it was your wife's father's name and she wouldn't let you name your child after the World Series winning starter.

I've had an internal struggle to accept an exit without the ultimate victory since the playoffs started. On top of this, my state of zen bliss has been unparalleled. I think we all knew this would happen. We know what those Boston boys did. It was magic. We watched through two rounds with a little fret and a subtle sweat. Without a doubt a glorious ride, and also a show of swift force. We entered wanting them to submit and desiring a quick fix. Instead the friendly confines became a dour place of futility and that feeling we all prepared for was embraced like an old friend. And yet it really wasn't. We all knew. Here, at the end, the moment had arrived. All that remained was winning.

I said it in the game 6 thread, but extra innings tomorrow night may be more than my constitution could bear. It'd kill me.
