i'm feeling strangely confident in tonight's game. red assed lester against short rest bauer? yes, please.

then cleveland will have two days to mull over how they couldn't get it done tonight. jump on short rest tomlin like he already should have been jumped on in game three and you've got an "anything goes" game seven. It's going to happen.

I am by no means superstitious, but I think that the answer is to sacrifice Joe Buck. I could be wrong, but worst case scenario is that there's no more Joe Buck.

I'm not superstitious either, but I think I'm just stitious enough to try this.

Just get this one and make them nervous. A game in their stadium where their fans are used to choking could create a positive atmosphere for us.

Ran into Pedro Gomez outside of Wrigley Field this morning. He said advanced analytics by playoff teams showed the Cubs have trouble hitting off speed stuff, especially curves. The Dodgers knew it but couldn't execute. The Indians know it and so far have worked it to near perfection.

With that said, he really likes the Cubs chances tonight.

Loving all the positivity here. I have to admit my tank is running low... I feel like I've been pretty good considering I'm... me. Deep down though I know this team is better than losing any best of 7 series in 5.

as much as i want to be pissed and watch westworld instead of this stupid game, we're obviously going to win tonight and honestly i feel pretty good about game 6 too. Then we end up in game 7 against Kluber on short rest again? With Hendricks on the mound? ehh what the hell, we can do it.

The Cubs are horsefeathering going to win tonight. They might as well go on a 3 game winning streak.

Oh, and the Chief Wahoo logo is racist as horsefeathers. The Cleveland franchise should consider showing some class & quit displaying it so prominently.

I have been endlessly frustrated with the losses, and I will be endlessly frustrated if we lose again. The difference between now and the past is I'll be mad instead of sad because I know we belong here, and anything less than a championship is a disappointment.

And I know we'll be back for the next several years. "Wait til next year" was a defense mechanism to mask the sadness, now its a threat. Win or lose, I love this team so much and I couldn't be prouder of what they've accomplished.

Go Cubs !!

I'm going add to this that if things don't go our way this evening, we'll all be pissing, and griping, and venting. And that's great. But there's no excuse for the 'if we ever make it back' type of b.s., especially from the board's smarter and more rational posters. Because whatever happens between now and Wednesday, we're taking one of the top 3 offenses in baseball, and adding Kyle Schwarber and a full time Wilson Contreras. We're taking an outstanding rotation and maybe losing Jason Hammel. The bullpen may have some question marks going forth, but I'm more than confident that they'll be answered and answered very well. So to anybody who wants to get an early jump on waiting 'till next year, more power to you. But I'm waiting for tonight, and I'll go from there.

It's the kind of unintentional but unapologetic white entitlement that this nation has been trying to shake from our culture, and these guys are trying to reel it right back. Every win for the Cleveland Indians is a win for outdated thinking. Every win the Cleveland Indians is a win for Donald Trump.

I'm not a doctor or foodologist, but I think only the white nacho cheese has dairy. The yellow stuff is dairy free for sure.

You guys are doing this wrong.

The established sports fan process here is "well, if you look at the odds of each game individually we can win each of them, so the cumulative odds can't be that bad" or reference past times the team came back from deficits or bad situations.

Save the "we will be back" talk for if they are formally eliminated
