This match up favors us. Then what if we win? Arrieta vs Tomlin? Then Hendricks vs Kluber? If we get to Kluber again I would think bats would have awoken. The path is there. Need something to go right early tomorrow and maybe we can get the swagger back.

The matchups seem good for the Cubs, and this one is the best of all. Then again, the Indians appear to be at a disadvantage every non-Kluber game, but they've only lost one of those this postseason.

I have been endlessly frustrated with the losses, and I will be endlessly frustrated if we lose again. The difference between now and the past is I'll be mad instead of sad because I know we belong here, and anything less than a championship is a disappointment.

 

And I know we'll be back for the next several years. "Wait til next year" was a defense mechanism to mask the sadness, now its a threat. Win or lose, I love this team so much and I couldn't be prouder of what they've accomplished.

I don't know about regression. Other than last night, the Indians are executing a game plan that simply can't be utilized during the regular season; if so, Corey Kluber and Andrew Miller would be on the operating table by summer.

 

Basically, Like the Red Sox and Blue Jays, The Cubs are built for a marathon. The Indians are built for a sprint. If we're going to succeed where the Sox and Jays could not, we're going to have to make them run a few extra miles.
