I am actually not nervous at all...the nerves were to get to the world series...failure to do that would have been a huge disappointment...they made it ...if we win it would be so awesome but getting here is a big deal too

I've had a general sense of calmness and ease since after the game Thursday. We got this

I'm nervous, but a completely different kind of nervous than last round. Last round, losing would have been a tremendous disappointment. Losing this round would suck but not as badly. I'm not exactly satisfied to only get to the World Series, but I do feel like regardless of what happens in the WS we accomplished something this year.

Any quotes from cubs players on Schwarber being added to the roster?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2016/10/25/chicago-cubs-world-series-roster-will-include-kyle-schwarber/

“I saw him maybe a couple weeks after his surgery, and he’s moving around, walking,” Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant said. “I’m like, ‘Dang, this guy’s not human. I saw your leg bend in half, and you’re walking around. This is unbelievable.’

“And then just watching him drip in sweat. Every single day this guy is drenched. I feel like he’s in the best shape of his life just looking at him. There was no doubt in my mind that he could do it. It was just a matter of if they would let him.”

I choose to believe that Theo and Jed put that clip together themselves during some downtime after the trade deadline, because they knew this would happen. I'm sure they have something spectacular in the can for his first WS bomb.

I hate that today is my long work day. I'll get home before the game starts, but I want a couple hours to take my pants off, get comfy, and watch all the pregame stuff.

My wife has a work thing Tuesday and won't be home until after the first couple innings. So we're having the babysitter put the kids to bed.

The question is do I go straight to a bar from work and wait until they are asleep before going home, or sit in my living room and ignore the kids as they go to bed like some kind of Mad Men dad?

Mixing things up with a go home, change, say good night to kids and meet people at the bar.

I was stuck watching "His and Hers" during lunch, (because the alternative was Colin Cowherd talking about Golden State), and the Michael Smith just couldn't grasp that Cubs fans feel that way. He called it a loser mentality. I'm sorry I am as pleased as pie that the Cubs are in the world series. A win is icing. (Pardon my disgusting mixing of dessert metaphors.)

are you abuck? If not, what happened to abuck? Also, as a corollary, did you kill him?
