I was coming here to back down from my supreme cockiness I displayed earlier, but after reading what Indian fans are saying about the Cubs, I've decided to remain firm in my assertions.

Covering up for rotation problems with a lights out bullpen isn't something nobody has heard of before. It works brilliantly until you don't have the early lead a couple of times.

60/40 Cubs seems pretty reasonable to me. Indians winning wouldn't surprise me. Cubs winning would surprise me less

I know this sounds stupid, and my perspective would obviously change after a while, but right now, like 80% of how badly I want this to happen is just so that I can wear my damn World Series shirt the entire time I'm in Vegas in 2 weeks.

Ha! I'm going on the 12th for a conference. I'm planning on doing the same thing.

For three series in a row? It seems like the bullpen would start to wear down, and as soon as one pitcher did wear down the flood gates open

Our offense combined for a 37.4 WAR vs. their 20.7.

Our pitching combined for a 20.0 WAR vs. their 26.4, but you have to take away Carrasco's 3.6 and minimize Salazar's 2.9.

103 wins don't happen by accident, especially when our Pythag. has us at 107, and there's drops them to 91-70. We're just better, by a lot, and we're going to win; and it's going to end at Wrigley.

The extra days off will probably mitigate most of that effect. They will have been off for 5 full days between the LCS and World Series.

Well, I meant start to wear down with in a series not between. If we could knock out Kluber quickly, I could see their staff falling like dominoes as the series progressed. Look at Kershaw. He was on normal rest and he couldn't get his breaking pitch to work, part weather, and I'd guess, part fatigue

Gotcha. That certainly makes more sense. And would be an even bigger advantage for the Cubs is Game 2 does get bumped to Thursday and there are 4 consecutive games, as someone else mentioned earlier.

We're clearly the better team, so I'd like to think we'll win. However, I'm going to be very annoyed at how much of an impact one single reliever can have in a format like this. Andrew Miller is a very big deal. Edited by Gilby

Bumgartner was a big deal.

Kershaw was a big deal.
