1. I'm not sure if this has been posted, but thought it was cute. I saw it on Sheffield Ave yesterday- the Eamus Catuli sign has been updated.
2. LOL @ STL losing to the Cubs 1-5 and now the Blues losing 1-5 also. Suck it, St Louis.
3. Hi Andy, ok-- cool.. I wasn't so sure- but that makes sense. It didn't seem that high today when I bought for opening day, but now that I'm thinking about it, it might have been about the same that I paid on Stubhub last year for Opening Day. Thanks! And that's awesome you got Washington-- that's going to be a fun series in August.
4. Am I missing a Single Ticket sale thread? I can't seem to find one on here anywhere and didn't want to start a new thread if there already was one. I am so surprised by how little fanfare and excitement there was for Single Game ticket sale today. I remember how this used to be such a hyped event and games like Opening Day or the White Sox series would be gone within minutes of the ticket sale opening. In fact- I remember getting screwed last year with trying to order Opening Day, as those tickets were gone within a couple of minutes. I was out working this morning when the ticket sale started, and got back home around 1PM and was able to get two tickets to Opening Day without any issue at all... in fact, there were tons of options as far as seating (ie: I wasn't stuck with the most expensive seats). I'm really surprised that the Single Game ticket sale has been so different this year. I know that the Cubs winning it all in 2016 was great and I kind of assumed the interest in the team would taper off as a result, but geez. This team went to the NLCS last year for crying out loud. They've been there the past three years. They are actually good! It's so confusing how people for decades got all hyped up when they sucked, and now that they're good, the interest has waned.
5. Thank god. Harper Ks. This awful series is over. Cubs win. Go cubs in NLCS! Im going to bed. Goodnight.
6. Thats amazing you were able to pull it off. I was in at 10:05AM and no luck and i also kept trying for about 30 minutes to see if something would pop up but never got lucky. Such a shame. Oh well
7. got thru at 10:05Am, but all of Opening Day is already sold out :-( Was at least able to get June 9, so I guess there's that.
8. good luck everyone in the VWR!!
9. That's awesome, UMFan83! That is so exciting. I have been really bummed that they blacked out Opening Day when I ordered my 14 game pack. I haven't missed Opening Day since I moved to Chicago in 2008 and I don't want to miss 2017. But I didn't want to mess around with this Mastercard thing because the 20% premium thing just seems so ridiculous. Although at this rate, I'll probably wind up paying 200% premium when I don't get tickets on Friday and have to go thru StubHub :( I decided to visit the website today, and it was definitely a game of "Press Your Luck". I was on the site at noon, and I had to wait 15 minutes to get to the ticket selection screen; by that time, the website was having difficulties due to the high volume of transactions. I tried selecting various games, and the website kept giving me that error message (this was between 12:15 PM and 12:20 PM). I'm definitely thankful that I decided to buy the ticket packs so that I could get to almost all of the games that I wanted to attend. As for StubHub, at least prices have definitely gone down with the presale. I was tracking the price of bleacher seats over the past few days for opening day. The least expensive seat went down around $120 (from around $350 to $226 including fees). If any more tickets are released for opening day on Friday, I'm sure the secondary market prices will decline even more. Interestingly enough, the bleacher seat prices on StubHub for the September 14 Mets game were actually slightly cheaper than what the Cubs were charging; I'm sure the Cubs are looking at the StubHub prices and adjusting their own ticket prices accordingly. Thats really interesting about stubhub dropping. I hope it can keep falling. And super crazy that stubhub was less expensive for sept 14 then what the cubs website charged.

11. STRIKEOUT! CUBS WIN!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12. idk why, maybe with that aerial shot, but i just had a moment where I flashbacked to Friday morning and how many thought tonight could have been a world series clinching game for the Cubs.. it's so strange how much that narrative changed in about 30 hours.
13. Is there a reason espn baseball tonight has been showing the red sox collapse of 86 for the past 10 minutes? Wtf is this garbage
14. Pat Hughes and Ron K on the Score said that Maddon wants to get as many cubs players in his gamr as possible so they have a chance to experience what its like playing a world series game. Makes sense.
15. The Score just reported tomorrows game time is moved up an hour due to potential rain
16. Len Kasper coming up in 5th inning to do play by play on the Score
17. they just reported on Cubs Nightly that he is on the plane to Cleveland and will be the DH in Game 1. So crazy! I want to not like this decision, but he can't do any worse than Heyward at the plate, right? LOL
18. I, also, am posting in a WORLD SERIES THREAD!!!! YEAH!! GO CUBS!
19. a couple more!
