Ok, it's official now. This team has overtaken the 2003 Cubs as my favorite Cubs team ever.

Why?

uh, why not?

maybe why are they so high, 2015 > 2003 probably '08 too

I don't know what to do with myself. I'm exhausted, but I don't want to go to bed. I want to enjoy this forever.

First post. Been lurking since 2003. I was already married with children in 1984. That was painful. But the scars of '69 last longer, because everything hurts more when you are a kid and don't understand the ways of the world

I don't even know what to feel. I won't be going to bed for a while. My grandmother,(who was born before Frank Chance became the Cubs manager) died more than 30 years ago; she was a huge Cubs fan and is responsible for all of us becoming Cubs fans. If the Cubs go all the way, the winning sports page and a Cubs hat will be placed on her grave , with a small note saying ,"they did it!"

Awesome man. Welcome (kinda) and keep posting. We have an open soft spot for a resident old guy. :hello:

As I sit here watching the post game, drinking an amazing beer (BCS Regal Rye), with an amazing lady waiting for me to come to bed, having just watched the most amazing Cubs team of my lifetime finally break through, I feel so lucky to have just watched that game and at the same time feel so, I'm not even sure what the words should be, for all the people I've known who never got to see this. I went to a Cubs Reds game on the day my grandfather passed away in the last week of the 2004 season and wish more than anything that he could be here to see it.

I'll see you all on Sunday. I'll be damned if I'm missing out on another party like tonight.
