That's so [expletive] weird. As a kid I grew up in Kentucky watching the Cubs on WGN. The two are strangely linked in my emotional nostalgia.

Once upon a time, WGN broadcast 150 Cub games a year. I spent a lot of summers from 1983-1990 tuned in.

Same here. I was in elementary school, and by the time 3:30 time, I hopped on my bike and made a mad dash to home in time to catch the 4th inning or later, depending on the game.

Loved WGN a lot back then. Shame they're now just a has-been.

I remember 1989. 1998. 2003. Some others as well. 84, I was too young. I was only 3.

We get shutout 2 games in a row, down 2-1...then we outscore the Dodgers 23-6 and win the next 3. Hell yeah.

Not gonna lie, still casting a heavy internet side-eye at a few posters who were insufferable doomsayers for a few days there

But it's all good

Sorry if this has been asked but: How do we match up against Hill tomorrow? I mean, given that he and Kershaw "have the blueprint" to shutting down the Cubs and everything?

I had a northern Wisconsin weekend planned this weekend a long time ago to help out my uncle at the family cabin to take out the dock and such. But anyways I just jumped bare ass into a 40 degree lake. Go Cubs!

I was a bit surprised not to see him tonight. I mean, given Roberts's tendency to throw everything but the kitchen sink, I thought it might be three inn of Kershaw, Hill, and Jantzen for this game and if there were a Game 7.
