It's gonna be a long day but at least it won't be full of awful "what if" scenarios. We need to unban that one guy, let him post dumb horsefeathers for 2 innings then ban him again. The banning that changed our season.

Who?

Some negative nancy. Unspellable name...nobody worth a second thought.

It's now a best of 3 series with two at Wrigley and the third pitched by our ace.

Its amazing how the emotions/perceptions swing. I went from feelings of desperation to elation and utmost confidence.

Yep, and it could swing back and forth a few times in the 2-3 games that are left.

Why do you say such awful things?

Need a recommendation for a good place to watch tonight's game. Looking for somewhere either close by the Loop or off the blue line close to the Loop. Preferably within about a half mile from a train. My wife is meeting me there so I'm trying to keep it easier for her.

Looking for a place with a decent beer selection and one that will hopefully have audio going for the game.

Floyds (just off the Western blue line stop) has been my go to so far this playoffs, but that's mostly because I'm in the area. Good draft list, have played the volume every game. Frontier is off the division stop, little closer to the city, and will also have a good beer list...can't confirm the volume, but I think it's safe to assume (pretty sure I was there for Giants royals game 7 last year and they played the volume).

Edit: I should note that these are more dive/corner bars, especially Floyds. They'll be crowded, but mostly just with regulars. If you're looking for more of a boisterous atmosphere, I'd recommend getting off at Division and walking west until you run into something that looks appealing...50/Fifty, Fat Pour, The Boundary, The Anthem. Those will all be a bit bigger/louder. If you're focused on the beer, Links Taproom off the Damen stop probably has the best selection.

I'm going to the game tonight. Let's win!

This is on you now.

Banedon did his job yesterday, now its up to you to get us within a win of the World Series. Are you up to the task?

It's really hard for me not to go to this game tonight, but I'm exhausted from traveling. On the way back from Vegas on Monday, the wife was finding really reasonable ticket prices for all of the LA games. Just can't do it. Enjoy. It's gonna be another hot one, though.

I'm happy that the Dodger bandwagon people stopped texting me very soon after the Gonzalez play at the plate last night. I'm not even a trash talker. I'm watching these games at home because my emotions of wanting to finally win a world series so bad make me worried about what I might say or do if someone egged me on personally rather than via text cuz they can't find me.

I second the edited recommendations. Links Taproom has an excellent beer list but will likely be a little more low key.

Didn't I hear you say you were at the game last night or am I losing my mind?

Definitely losing your mind. Stuck in central IL...nowhere near SoCal.

1. Tapworks on Jackson - New sports bar, lots and lots of HDTVs. Would highly recommend this place.

2. Haymarket on Halsted

3. Dugans on Halsted - older pub

4. Jak's Tap on Jackson - older pub/dive bar

All those places are walking distance to the UIC-Halsted Blue Line stop and Union Station

If you are willing to venture down west on Madison: Crossroads, Old Fifth, Third Rail, Beer Bistro
