iirc, suspended games can also happen if the home team is behind but does not get a chance to bat when the rains come.

Isn't that only if the road team takes the lead in the top half of the inning that isn't completed? Otherwise, the score just goes back to the end of the last completed inning.

I don't know, the Cubs just had an inning they didn't score in - weird and unacceptable.
