Would it be worth calling another pitcher up in case this goes sideways? Hendricks doesn't really strike me as the kinda guy who you want to leave out there no matter what. Would Warren make sense?

Warren started a game in Iowa on the 25th and went 3 2/3 with 59 pitches thrown. Considering he is meant to start a game here soon, I would think they'd prefer he get another start tomorrow, on 4 days rest and goes 75+ pitches.

There's really not a lot of 40 roster help in Iowa. We do have a spot open on the 40 but do you want to burn that on Black for (presumably) 1 game?

Otherwise you are talking about Aaron Brooks, who has been starting and been bad, and Giovanni Soto who has been really bad

Brooks started yesterday for Iowa and wouldn't be available (he's also technically on the big league team's DL).

Fun fact: If we play at the same pace we have since our 25-6 start (which is 25-20, a 90 win pace over a full season), we will finish 98-64 which would be the most wins in a season since 1945

But....I thought we sucked now?

that was awesome except the injury.

Rizzo!

3-0 3 batters into the game. And Rizzo wasn''t even running hard out of the box and got the ITP HR pretty easily.

I wish you could hear the Reds radio guys try and describe what just happened

I can only imagine Coomer attempting to call that play also.

Actually as much as I don't like Coomer, I would love to hear him call a play like that.

It isn't the 5th inning. I'm listening at work. Pat tried to describe what happened and I still don't know what happen other than the ball was dropped and Hamilton is hurt.

Can't watch, what happened, did Hamilton fall down and get hurt or something? Does he have to come out?
