I was going to make a comment about enjoying a comfortable game but the last 3 times I thought that the final scores were: 11-8 Cubs (was 8-7 in the 9th), 8-6 Marlins and 5-4 Cubs

This post is beginning to look prescient

I am the OP and even I have to disagree.

I am not sure how to feel when I refresh NSBB and see 5 notifications. It usually means I either said something really dumb or really funny.

That's often the same post, btw.

God I hate power hitters that manage to have OBPs under .300. You should be ashamed of yourself

Don't we have one of those playing 2B today?

Baez's OBP going into the game was .301.

Bryant cracked 4.0 WAR with that last single, btw.

When we predicted how many 5 WAR hitters we'd have this year, did we mean at the break?

so who is usable today out of the 'pen? I guess Strop, he didn't pitch last night, did he? Maybe Cahill for a batter or two, Grimm?

Javy has power but I dont know if I would describe him as an established Power Hitter

I'm thinking of the Joe Carters of the world. Maybe Javy will become this kind of hitter, in fact, maybe thats his ceiling.

Peralta only threw 3 pitches last night so he should be good.

javy baez could be a monstrously valuable player somewhere down the line if the plate approach thing ever clicks for him

Hendricks gotta give us another one. 5-run lead (soon to increase). 6-man rotation maybe by the next time he starts. Let him go until he shows he can't anymore.

What'd Javy do?

Somehow managed to tag the runner going past him on a grounder and throw the hitter out at 1st basically in one motion.

Slow grounder to 2B, Javy charged it hard, lunged to make the tag on Votto, did a 270 degree spin and while going down threw a strike to Rizzo to get the guy at first.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the 270-degree spin.
