Playoffs - I know its baseball and random, weird things happen but, does anyone believe Arizona, Miami and Milwaukee have any chance at all?  Arizona - two good starting pitchers, terrible bullpen, okay lineup, Miami/Milwaukee some decent starting pitching and bullpens, terrible lineups, with such poor lineups I just don't see how they can score enough to win a playoff series.  It's going to be LA and ATL or, if the Phillies pull off an upset, PHI and LA in the NLCS.  On the whole, the AL wild card teams are a far more competitive teams than the NL wild card teams.

Milwaukee absolutely with their SP I could see them making a run.

Just last year the 87 win Phillies beat the 101 win Braves and the 89 win Padres beat the 111 win Dodgers.

You're probably right, in a short series anything can happen and usually does.

Is Miami the worst team to ever make the post season in MLB history(minus the covid year)?

Ng is out as Marlins GM. She delcined her option after Miami seemingly begrudgingly picked it up.

This sucks.  It doesn't feel like she did a great job in Miami, but there's obvious resource limitations and it seems like the new ownership group, while way better than Loria, also sucks.  It not long ago they pushed Jeter out too.

It's hard to see her getting a bigger job (e.g Boston) since she didn't have smashing success with the Marlins.  I kind of wonder if she needs to go be the Jed to someone's Theo (Stearns/Mets?) before she gets a shot to run a serious franchise.

Though to be fair, the Marlins making the playoffs kind of is a smashing success for them.

Looks like the Wisconsin public is going to be sending $546 million dollars for renovations of Miller Park. I always love seeing billionaires who own an investment that doubles in value like every 10 years, require other people to cover their expenses.

Welp, I'm done watching baseball for this season. Arizona-Texas is going to be a snoozefest.

Or it could be one of the greatest World Series of our generation.

(Saying as a person who hasn't watched a millisecond of playoff baseball)

There has been nothing "snoozy" about Texas this postseason

I’m perfectly fine with this WS and will enjoy not having a team in there that I don’t want to win, which has been pretty common the past 6 years with Houston or LA in there every year.
