In the Royal's game today, they had 10 guys get plate appearances. Only 2 of the 10 had an OBP .300 or over and those 2 were .322 and .346.

So the White Sox got a 50 and a 40 for Giolito from the Angels. Quero is the clear get; 20 year old C/probable DH, switch-hitter, whos already doing quite well in AA after skipping A+.

The Angels just promoted 2023 1st round pick Nolan Schnauel to their AAA affiliate.  They do things very differently.

I think they are moving him to AA. Still aggressive though.

Completely random thought based on nothing other than it came to mind, but former Cubs coach Brandon Hyde has done a really nice job in Baltimore. His team lost 108 games in 2019 (his first season) and 110 games the year after the Covid season.  He gets them just over .500 last year, and this year has them with the best record in the AL heading into August.

Not sure where to put this, but Sasaki's oblique tear has ended his season. 

 

And in a fg article they mentioned Erick Fedde is dominating the KBO. I wonder if he will come back stateside, and if so, I would probably be interested. FWIW 30% K rate with a 72% GB rate in 103 IP.

Returning to the topic of team owners being total scumbags, the Orioles 's lease ends in December and to agree to New terms Angelos has made several demands. 1, he wants 900m instead of the previously discussed 600m for stadium renovations. 2, he wants the land around the stadium either given to him or highly subsidized so he can create something similar to Atlanta. Basically he wants what Ricketts did to the stadium/neighborhood, but he has the balls to ask the taxpayers to cover it all. I wonder what that must be like to have other people give you money so you can increase your revenue streams?
