I mean I get that we're all bitter, but the Mets aren't a weak team.

Seriously, they were hot as hell in second half. Way too many people don't understand baseball.

Yet we were better.

Better teams lose baseball games. Welcome to the world.

Seriously, I'd be tempted to start Ross over Montero at this point if I were Maddon.

If Montero is not gonna hit. ...gotta go with defense. LHP tomorrow and Lester (if necessary) Thursday. Ross is in there either way.

Not objectively, but they're weaker than any of the other 4 teams that made the NL playoffs, and it's not close.

Ehh, I think the Cubs and Pirates were the only NL teams clearly better heading into the playoffs. I wouldn't say the current form of the Cardinals or Dodgers were noticeably better teams. Heading in, I probably would've taken the Mets over every AL team besides Toronto as well. Every one of these NL teams is/was really, really good.

i have grown to hate montero. i know it's not rational, but i hate him.

he's 2-20 this postseason (when were those 2??) and he's made like 11 defensive [expletive] ups. perfectly rational.

Probably gonna get a fake rally one of these next 3 innings just to be extra sucky

By way of another meaningless solo homer... or maybe they will load the bases with 2 outs for Montero to strike out.

Wish list:

1) Scrappy hustley utility MIF who makes consistent weak contact to depress the team strikeout numbers.

2) Over the hill LF way past his prowess.

3) Relief pitcher whose shoulder is held together with bubble gum and duct tape.

4) Daniel Murphy

If only Ross was actually that good defensively. It just might be that hes the better offensive option though,

Yes, but really no. There is no question that by the time the postseason hit, the Cardinals were the worst team in the NL bracket.

Playoffs might be a crapshoot but the Mets are beating us in all aspects of the game. Saying they are weak is ridiculous. They absolutely deserve to go up 3-0.

The LaStella double switch is incredible here with him making the last out and Javy due up to lead off Edited by Cubswin11
