lots of downtrodden faces this morning. I am not unenjoying it.

The IT guy here said he turned it off after they went down 1-0. "So done with this team"

A coworker "knew they were going to lose" anyway so she's not that upset.

I have a feeling a couple posters here would do the same thing. Not gonna name any names or anything...

In honor of your gif:

Take me out to the ballgame

Pick me up off the ground.

Give me a cast and a morphine drip

I tend to fall when my skull takes a hit,

So it's suit, suit, suit, call my lawyer,

If I don't win it's a shame.

But we all know it's just for fun

At the old ballgame!

In general, I don't really care for professional commentators. They tend to either soften or dumb down their opinions on the game and don't provide the insight that I want as a listener: what it's like in their shoes, playing in the game, in various situations.

The best ones do this well (JD is a great example), but they are the exception to the norm. I think that's why it was so refreshing to have Archer in the booth last night.

"Let's go to Jessica Mendoza, who has the latest on how the Pirates had their uniforms dry cleaned this morning..."

Tomorrow I'm gonna wake up, read recaps about the Cubs game I already watched all day, and then I'm going to go out for the Royals game and watch baseball without feeling feelings.

Dammit Future Cub David Price

Lowering the cost to the Cubs to sign him, if only minutely.

Also, it wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the Jays exit the playoffs. Not who I want to face in the World Series.

So Price is about to go 0-6 in six playoff starts with an ERA over 5, right?

Donaldson out after taking a knee to the head earlier in the game. The crowd was loudly chanting "MVP" as his spot came up, and went dead silent when a pinch hitter was announced.

If he has a concussion, that's huge (needless to say).

That would suck, he's had a really fun impressive season

I really like a lot of the players on the Blue Jays, but they're by far the AL team I would be most nervous about. So if they want to choke, that's fine with me.

Plus, Canada. lol.

Was not looking at the TV and started hearing R. Lee Ermey trying to do analysis, looked up and realized it was just Pete Rose.
