Wonder if we could hire Clements away from GB to be the HC and call the plays...

I'm sure we could but I see no reason to think that's the best hire.

I feel like Chicago should be attractive enough to hire Rex as DC.

Rex will have options as HC, so no not attractive enough.

Rex will get at least one more chance as HC before he has to take a step down.

The only team I can see offering Rex the top job is Oakland. Maybe Atlanta?

Their offense is awesome every year, even when Rodgers was out last season?

And he would take both of those over being Chicago's DC. He's indicated he would sit out if not offered a HC. If you want Rex, you will have to make him top dog.

McCarthy really runs the show though.

We should hire McCarthy then.

it blows my mind that there are actual human beings who think Trestman should have kept his job.

Who?

I bet my mom does because he's seems like a good guy and it's all Jays fault anyways.

Phillips will be moving to the business side per several tweets, including Dan Bernstein.

EDIT: sorry, Bears are "considering" this.

Yes, please.

@dan_bernstein: #Bears indeed considering the #Cubs model, with Ted Phillips helming the business side, and an equivalent football president next to him.

Tucker fired.

So presumably DeCamillis conducting his exit interview now.

It was totally refreshing and not the least bit obnoxious that his returners finally learned to take an knee in the end zone in the final game.

Well, I heard this through someone else and can find no confirmation...so I guess take with a grain of salt for the moment.

I'd love to see the final stats of DeCamillis' special teams unit. How many penalties on kickoffs, punts, starting field position, touchbacks, etc... in relation to the other teams in the league. Tucker and Kromer's units performed very badly, but I'm giving the slight edge to DeCamillis for worst overall season performance.

I can't find one scenario where Thompson comes here. The Bears won't overpay him to come down.

But George is getting ANGRY

I don't think it would happen either as I don't think he'd leave until after the Packers season is over and it might extend until February, and at the very least 2 more weeks.

Eh at least he has the excuse of an inexperienced unit. Measured against expectations offense takes the cake, even if ST was worse overall.
