In so much as talking about the process can be newsworthy, yes this would be. A) George hasn't done anything yet as chairman, other than the awkward first day on the job thing for trestman. B) it implies that the changes may go much higher than coach.

 

 

 

This is still a system where the lowest ranking official makes all decisions that fall under his jurisdiction. If he needs to be the one pulling triggers, it implies, at the very least that the organization has changed.

Yeah, I agree on the position being a big need (of course I wouldn't complain about any them drafting a defensive player at ant position besides DT) but am not a fan of Collins at 7.

Source confirms ESPN report that George McCaskey fired Phil Emery. McCaskey said to be angry, frustrated and committed to starting over.

 

Not that we didn't already know that. But its good to read reporting that the very top of the Bears org has a pulse and gives a [expletive].
