Remember when Goodell was the tough guy in town? Not anymore.

 

Not sure I follow.

 

When he first became commissioner, it seemed like he was tougher with discipline. No?

 

He is still a hardass on certain issues.

Even if some sort of investigation proves that people at the top saw the video and then they lied about it, I cannot imagine too much of a backlash. Maybe some deputy loses his job and a sponsor gets replaced by another waiting in the wings.

Maybe the NFL's classes on teaching women how to learn the game will also teach them how to take a punch.

Coward move by a coward league.

 

If I'm Rice's agent and the NFLPA, I'm investigating whether or not the NFL tampered with that decision and I protest that.

The NFL is trying to get moms to like football (breast cancer month) because I'd imagine moms might be more willing to pull their kids out of football once they hear about how dangerous head trauma is. Wouldn't be surprised if the NFL didn't really want to see the video. The outcry for what Rice did will be the strongest by women. Having the video get out is the NFL's worst nightmare.
