Seems like a fourth of the kids I grew up with were Sega kids. Wonder if this scientific poll will reflect that. I was Nintendo personally. IMB! for some reason I see you as a Sega kid.

Sega. No real reason other than that's what everyone else I knew with video game systems seemed to have. I got one of my own for my 10th birthday and was pretty much obsessed with it for a while there.

I guess I was a Nintendo kid, because I spent most of my video game years when it was NES, and anybody who had the Sega 8-bit system over an NES is the worst. I did have a Genesis over an SNES toward the end though.

I had NES and then Sega Genesis. Did Atari predate NES & Sega, or was that out around the same time? I feel like that was the first system I had. And this game was the [expletive]:

Atari's prime might have been right around the same time that NES first came out.

N64 was the first system I truly remember playing, I had a SuperNintendo but was too young to really be able to remember or use it all that much.

Then frak off. This thread isn't for you, youngling. :hello:

The first baseball game I remember was for Commodore 64 called Micro League Baseball. The only thing I actually remember about it is that Luis Salazar consistently made errors at 3B: "Salazar bobbles the ball. E-5"

Sega. My older sister had a NES she helped me play Mario and Duck Hunt on when I was like 4-5. But I finally got my own Sega Genesis for Christmas one year and never looked back. Never had a SNES and didn't get back into Nintendo stuff until the 64 came out.

Ecco the Dolphin scared the [expletive] out of me. I think it gave me a fear of the deep ocean.

Atari for a bit, then Nintendo. Great memories of an Atari baseball game you could hit a HR directly past 3B. And a 3 on 3 football game that when guys got tired, they became feint in color and fumbled any time they touched the ball.

Tecmo Bowl, the first one, and Double Dribble dominated my High School years. Followed by Super Tecmo Bowl in college.

Had Sega Master System and NES. Remember playing games like Alf and Reggie Jackson baseball on SMS, but NES was the system I fell in love with. Next generation my parents bought me a Genesis so I guess I'm more of a Sega guy. From there I went Sony and have had every version of playstation since (although I had a wii like everyone else)

Umfan is the weirdo. I never even heard of sega 8 bit until I read about it online

I actually have a legit memory of my parents taking me to some electonics section of a department store and buying it. I had no idea what it was because all my friends had NES. I was so pissed when I found out you couldn't play Mario on it.

My uncle also had an SMS for the longest time. Him and I were the only 2 people I knew of that had one.

All that said, Reggie Jackson baseball was the [expletive].
