Three team deal with Seattle and Detroit. Austin Jackson and Smyly going to Tampa Bay so far.

There had better be another big piece like Taijuan Walker coming otherwise that's just bad.

Heyman said Nick Franklin to TB too. That move the needle for ya?

Austin Jackson and Drew Smyly will go to the Mariners, with Nick Franklin heading to Tampa. Price to Detroit, more players to be involved.

This is according to MLB Trade Rumors.

Smyly to Tampa, Heyman says.

@jon_greenberg

If James Russell gets traded today, his last heroic act was turning off some crappy techno in the clubhouse this morning. "This sucks."

It would have been better if he smashed it.

That can't be it. If Franklin and Smyly are worth Price then what we got from the A's looks even better.

If the cost was that low I wouldn't even have minded grabbing him for 2015 and taking my chances on extending him.

I am pretty much exclusively up to date baseball wise with the Cubs and their minor leaguers. What would a comparable package from us have looked like?

maybe Wood & Contra?

Alcantara has way more value than either Franklin or Smyly in my mind. I really don't think this is that far off of Almora+Hendricks.

MLB readiness matters. We don't have a Smyly, so if they were bent on getting a SP they could plug into the rotation right away or for 2015, there's no match there.

Do we even know what the offer was? Many times only major leaguers get mentioned in these rumors.
