Order is based on impact, interest and the player's chances to be traded

One of the best pitchers in baseball. A 500-1 shot he's traded.

So number 18 on a list of guys ranked in part by likelihood of being traded has a 500-1 chance of being traded?

The Lester to the Dodgers for Kemp rumor is interesting. Wonder how Kemp would feel about going from first to worst.

I see a small market for Kurt Suzuki© of the Twins. With A. J. Ellis stumbling, maybe there's interest for the Dodgers.

Wouldn't be opposed in seeing the asking price.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports that the Indians are "very willing to move" Justin Masterson.

Passan says the Indians want "young, controllable starting pitching" in return, which is going to be a tough find. Masterson can become a free agent after the season and owns a rough 5.51 ERA and 1.63 ERA in 98 innings this year. The big right-hander is also on the disabled list currently with a right knee injury, though he's due back Friday night.

Yeah we can sign him in the off-season. Why bother now?

Lmao at Indians wanting a "young, controllable SP". Yeah OK, so does everybody.

So apparently Houston is making Dallas Keuchel some what available for some reason. He's putting up a great season with a 3.02FIP and 3.13xFIP. He's also under control through 2018. Houston apparently wants bats and I'd happily give up a package headlined by Almora.

Don't trust his sudden dominance. Never been a top prospect. Had less than stellar MiLB numbers. This has been his best season since his pro ball debut in 2009. Not sure I'd give up a premier bargaining chip because of half a season of good production. I think if Almora is traded, he can be moved for someone with a little better track record

Heyman mentioned we're not going to deal Ruggiano or Coghlan.

Which is a nice indicator that the Cubs will actually try in 2015.

Not trading Schierholtz last year didn't indicate much.

Yeah, keeping Ruggiano and Coghlan doesn't tell me we are in it for 15'. I'd rather sell high on at least one of them.

I'd rather keep them than trade them for the type of crap you get for a player like that. They'll be nice placeholders and then bench pieces next year.

I'm buying Keuchel's production. The minor league numbers aren't really reflective in his case. He added a slider to his pitch mix in 2013. That slider is what lets him get whiffs. The SwStr% isn't out of line for his K rate, so the newfound strikeouts appear to be as real as the slider is. The walk rate is pretty close to his minor league numbers. The groundball rate is obviously elite. The ERA isn't out of whack with his FIP, xFIP, or SIERA.

Even if you wanted to project some regression, he'd still look pretty legit to me.

I don't see why Soler-Alcantara-Bryant shouldn't be our starting OF but I guess Ruggianno and Coghlan would be a strong 4th and 5th OF, and at least give you options if either Alcantara or Bryant take up an IF spot.

Coghlan has no value I'm assuming.

Ruggiano sort of does but we have a 2015 OF right now of Alcantara, Soler & ?? Ruggiano could make a nice part of that platoon depending what direction they want to go in. If nothing else a 4th OF (which is what I'm hoping cause we need a big OF bat) or offseason trade bait.
