Briggs was given 4-6 week timetable. This will be the 7th week he's been out.

Yup, and as for Cutty, it will be 5 weeks out if he returns against the Browns next week. If the Bears lose, just shut them both down. I'm sure Cutler won't want that though given his contact situation.

There's really no point in shutting Cutler down. Briggs, sure. But Cutler still has to play some.

Definitely agree.

Is there a scenario where this loss eliminates the Bears from playoff contention?

No, because a Lions win and Bears loss puts the Bears 2 games back with 3 to play.

The very same one that received an injury settlement Nov. 11, yep. Same guy.

No idea what this is regarding.

Joe Anderson, who the Bears waived with an injury payment on Nov 11, had a tryout with the Colts today. Pretty sure that what he's referring to.

So, I wonder if he has the same opinion of his teammate Jay Ratliff who basically did the same thing.

Titans not expected to pick up 5th year option on Locker's contact and will heavily pursue Jay Cutler to get him back in Nashville.

Weird... They must be sure that Cutler will be a FA.

that is weird, I would think Locker showed enough to at least get another season as starter. At least enough for a team to dump him and gamble that Chicago would let him go to open FA.

I guess its possible they have some sort of knowledge that the Bears aren't going to keep Jay unless he takes a discount.

The Titans are definitely a team I'd worry about, maybe the only franchise that I think Jay would choose over the Bears if offered a similar contract.

It's really cruel of the Lions to keep losing and letting the Bears "back" in the playoff hunt.

Yup. I want this [expletive] over before Week 17. Rather finish 6-10 than 10-6 and still watch the playoffs.

I want more excitement this year. Would suck to finish 10-6 and no playoffs again and obviously our draft pick would suffer but I don't care. It's the same reason why I have a hard time rooting for the Bulls to tank.

So while the Lions loss is great for the Bears, the Packers loss is bad news. One it keeps them very much alive in the divison race (0.5 games behind), and two it makes it pretty likely that not only will Rodgers return, but will be playing Week 17 against the Bears. I am assuming that unless Rodgers isn't feeling right after coming back, once he returns he will play the rest of the season even if the Packers fall out of the race. I guess our best hope there is that Rodgers isnt able to come back next week and the Packers lose, but I'm thinking he will be back.

Cross that bridge if & when we come to it.

Season back on.

Gonna look back on the Washington and Minnesota losses when this season is over. You win those games that they should have won, they make the playoffs.
