Same for you or anyone. It's a [expletive] message board. If people post stupid things you can make fun of their post. The goal isn't to rack up as many people as possible here. If you want to go somewhere with the most members, go for it. 3. The forum isn't going to die because cracked out threads that are started everyday earn a sarcastic comment. 1) No, he's probably not going anywhere. Not sure if the account is elaborate troll, or the user perceives the actual, intended abuse, as good-natured ribbing. 2) If Tim's using ad revenue to at least cover server/bandwidth costs, to an extent the goal is to rack up a certain number of people. I'm certain that Tim would love it, if this was a moneymaking endeavor as well. Offensive people, both agitators and trolls, will serve to drive the userbase, both registered and unregistered, away. It's not just registered users who see ads. 3) It is true that the forum won't die from cracked out threads getting sarcastic comments, but a forum that is perceived as highly unwelcoming to newcomers, will eventually die out.
