Personally I think that Davidson has more than a little Brett Jackson in him, but that's still a nice value for a good reliever like Reed. Bummed that we appear to have missed the crazy Towers train for this offseason.

Wow... props to him. One of the rare guys who had a late start (was called up at age 24 but didn't play much for a few years) and finally got a chance with the Royals at age 29. Now he is still playing in the big leagues at age 41. Seems like most of the guys who put their first full season at age 28 or older are only productive for 1-4 years and then disappear (John Rodriguez/Chris Duncan or any Cardinals in the mid 2000s it seems like/Mike Aviles although I think he still plays somewhere??/Jason Lane for examples). Edgar Martinez is another who had a similar path as Ibanez, but he was a lot better with the bat than Ibanez.

Apparently we claimed Brett Marshall off waivers from the Yankees, and lost Liam Hendricks on waivers to the Orioles.
