That's a shame.

the only shame is that he only misses the rest of this year, instead of the full 100 games

Dammit, I was hoping it would be for some of 2014, its pointless for him to miss the rest of 2013.

Well, he'll lose the money, but obviously he's still rich. Plus it's a plea bargain so he's admitting guilt. No HoF, etc, etc.

I'm not sure how to feel. On one hand one of the earth's greatest douches finally gets his; on the other hand, my fantasy keeper league team is now fairly screwed.

Even if Braun could have appealed and get the suspension lowered, it was wise of both him and the Brewers to have him take off the rest of a lost season rather than even 25 games next year when they might have a chance.

On a deeper note, not only does it further tarnish Braun's legacy, but also that of the Brewers. When they gave him the contract that they did, they essentially chose him over Fielder as the face of their franchise for a generation.

No one is stopping you from starting your own clothing line for dbags. Just put your heart into it and there's nothing you can't do.

I don't get the leagues grounds for this. This is because his name is on a list?

And testimony from the guy that ran the thing.

And Braun himself confessing.

"We commend Ryan Braun for taking responsibility for his past actions. We all agree that it is in the best interests of the game to resolve this matter. When Ryan returns, we look forward to him making positive contributions to Major League Baseball, both on and off the field."

Rob Manfred, pretty much Selig's right hand man I believe. Are you kidding me?

I'm looking forward to Braun's tearful public apology to Dino Laurenzi.

Oh goodness, yes.

Never, ever, ever gonna happen, of course. Which was implied.

We'll be waiting for a long time.

Glad the hammer came down, but losing the rest of a meaningless season is not even really a punishment.
