So nice of him to grace us with an essay sent from god knows where.

See you in spring training, braun. should be fun, especially for all the other brewer players who have to try to answer your questions.

He says he started taking the stuff into 2011 because of a nagging injury.

Kinda goes counter to the lawsuit filed against him by a long-time but now former friend:

This is an interesting part of the lawsuit, though it falls under what can best be described by me as legal mumbo-jumbo.

■ Used steroids as far back as his playing days at Miami.

This is gonna be fun!

Steroid use at the U? Inconceivable.

Knowing you got away with a positive test, why did you have that news conference in Maryvale where you lied and essentially threw Laurenzi under the bus?

"I’m not really, again, going to get into too many specifics. I wish that I hadn’t done the press conference. It was a big mistake. I deeply regret having done it, and a lot of the things that I said that day. But again, all I can do is move forward, and in an effort to do that I’m not going to get into too many specifics. I really don’t think that it does anything too positive or productive for me, the team, the game of baseball or anybody else. And in an effort to move forward, I’m not going to discuss that subject."

he is such a steaming pile of [expletive]. the worst thing is that he supposedly told other players Laurenzi was anti-semitic. that's not a stain you can easily wash off. [expletive] deplorable.

"I'm one of the league leaders in confidence,'' Braun told USA Today. "If I perform like I've always done, I'll be one of the best players in this game. I don't need any added motivation of drama at work. I'll just let my work speak for itself, as every artist should.''

Give me a break.

Let's see how confident you are when your testicles are shriveled like raisins by the time you're 35.

he's fully embraced his heel turn so much that now i kinda like him

Hahaha. I'm kinda with you, but it's more like he's just stopped putting on airs publicly. Now he just gets to be himself because he has nothing to lose.

I can't agree with you on the kind of liking him part, but you're dead on with his embrace of being the bad guy. His interviews are almost like those mock pro wrestling interviews designed to make you loathe the villain.

Good we need more true villains in baseball. Baseball was a lot more enjoyable with all the disgraced steroid abusers, but most of them retired or the newer guys started outright admitting they did them when they got caught instead of adamantly denying it in the face of overwhelming evidence.

You're trying too hard.

I went to the second game of the year at Miller Park and sat in the bleachers right behind Braun. He got a mostly positive round of applause when he came up to bat but there was a vocal minority jeering him from the bleachers. Shouts of 'HGH' and one guy kept loudly asking Braun if he wanted any gummy bears. It was kind of funny and I didn't expect it.
