Illinois Wesleyan enters the tournament #4 in the nation but due to D3 scheduling they just get a brutal road to the Final Four again. Most D3 schools are located in the Midwest and Northeast so travel is a big deal when putting this together.

 

Did anyone on here go to a D3 school?

 

UW-LaCrosse here. They had great football and XC/track programs while I was there but they've fallen off a bit in the last few years.

 

The Wisconsin schools are typically very strong athletically (UWSP #1 and UW-W #2 in basketball right now). And I think Whitewater won the football title as well.

 

IWU actually plays a school out of STL in the 1st round (Webster), although I don't think they are all that great.

 

My dad is a Whitewater alum and because of that I know they've won 5 or 6 football titles in the last 8 years. At least they beat Mt. Union, I hate those guys.

My cousin went to Whitewater and the guy she married was a DE there when UW-W was just starting to win everything (his senior year was 2005). They have been just unreal since he graduated.

How did Iowa remained ranked? Was a 7 point home win over Purdue more impressive than giving up 188 points in their 2 previous games, both losses to fringe teams (albeit on the road)

There is a couple of kids from my local HS that play for Wesleyen. I didn't know that IWU was having such a good season.

 

Yeah, they have a very talented roster for that level. Such great facilities as well, it's very easy to recruit.

 

29th CCIW Title this year I believe...will be looking for their 6th Final Four since 1996.

I went to IWU. They won a title I think when i was there, or at least a final four. They had some good teams with Crabtree, who was a few years older than me. I think he played in Europe after school.

I went to IWU. They won a title I think when i was there, or at least a final four. They had some good teams with Crabtree, who was a few years older than me. I think he played in Europe after school.

 

I know there have been better, but Brian Crabtree is the best D3 Player I've ever seen.

They're a really good team, but they aren't nearly this good. UI is playing zero defense tonight.

also, he supposedly never got an offer from UI

Yeah, the Illini haven't played their best defensive game by a longshot, but there's not much to be done when a team shoots like this.

 

Michigan has just been unconscious.

Problem is UM is 80th(!) in AdjD, that won't get you very far come tournament time.

can't believe how excited I am for a first team B12 guy/possible POY to graduate. ejim is so overrated its ridiculous.

 

hard to go 12-27 on 3s and lose. though shooting TWO [expletive] free throws (lol) probably helped.

If the season ended tonight, OSU would have to play a Thursday B1G tourney game. LOL

Err, only 4 teams don't, many B1G tourney teams play Thursday.
