Jonah Bolden commits to UCLA. Nice class but the lack of PG (with 2 elite PGs in the LA area) is just brutal. Still can't believe UCLA hasn't gotten a pure high school PG since the class of Jrue Holiday and Jerime Anderson.

It was on directv. But the guide had the wrong start time. When I tuned in we were already up 25 at halftime. I don't think that showed us much though. I think auburn is awful.

I'm pretty excited for it and think Iowa has a decent shot, but it feels like we're in the middle of about a 5-year stretch where I'll always expect the home team to win in this series.

Yeah they're horrible. Lost by 19 at home to Northwestern St., lost by 29 at Iowa State and only beat 0-10 Tennessee State by 5 at home.

 

I remember really wanting Tony Barbee to be Iowa's next coach when Lickliter was fired. Yikes.

I really doubt that will be required. IU's best win is currently against Pomeroy No. 126 Stony Brook, and their only win against a BCS conference team is No. 149 Washington. Notre Dame, at No. 58, would be by far IU's best win. IU is athletic and has a lot of potential, but they're pretty far from being a very good team. I would expect this to be a close game.

wow, i can't believe isu won...they played TERRIBLE. but iowa may have topped isu's 38 minutes of garbage with that epic final 1:22.

 

iowa up by 5, 1:22 to go. they proceed to give up 8 unanswered points, miss four straight free throws, miss a WIDE OPEN potential game tying 3 and two point blank put backs. that is as bad as you can play over 1:22 of basketball.

Agreed. With the soft schedule, IU was ever going to have a strong non-conference resume. But without a win today they will lack any credible non-conference win. Win today, and, squinting a bit, you at least have one decent win and a one-point neutral-court loss to UConn. Not much, but not nothing either.
