So we seem decent on defense, but man does out offense suck at times. Nice win tonight though, now win out Missouri.

don't see us winning out in the elite SEC. enjoy your 10 seed.

I think you're as good as anyone not named Kentucky or Florida. I'm not sure right now you wouldn't beat Kentucky, obviously they could improve a lot by the time you play. I think we were very lucky to get this one.

The Illini won because they have grown-ass men at either guard position and they are defensive bulldogs.

illini were way more physical tonight. in a game between evenly matched teams, that'll win 9 times out of 10. add in the fact that your godless chuckers were draining everything and every loose ball ended up in their arms, what else could mizzou do?

Clarkson's shot looks like Shawn Marion's if you showed up on its doorstep and threw battery acid in its face and ran away.

And I don't think I'd call the SEC "elite". Top heavy, but certainly not elite. Mizzou should win a lot of games.

real basketball season has finally arrived, CAN YOU FEEL IT?

And yes please go run the SEC since the time for hating missouri is over.

ND's Jerian Grant booted out of school for an academic matter. That's one way to make the Ohio State loss sting less.

Happened a week too late for IU.

I have a feeling Illinois is going to beat the crap out of IU on NYE. :?

Yeah, I'm not sure how many B1G games this team is going to win. Every team (other than Illinois ironically) is older and more experienced. And U of I seems to have put it together faster than IU's young guys *cough*coaching*cough*.

Right now it would be a monumental upset for IU to beat Michigan St, Ohio St, or Wisconsin even at home. And it's a toss-up at best vs. Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan at home. Can't see them beating any of those teams on the road. And then there's Minnesota, who's probably about at the same level.

Illinois isn't as good as they looked Saturday. They're not getting a 20 point night from Abrams very often. That was a hell of a game, but they were exceptionally lucky to win it.

Really bukie? You of all people? 68 teams

I blame alcohol and vicodin. Insert Xavier/BYU/Indiana into bottom of at-large teams. Mizzou/Arkansas/Illinois/Butler/ND are just out.

Wichita State has a legitimate chance to get through the regular season undefeated, since the MVC is down this year (mostly because Creighton isn't in it) and their non-con hasn't featured a single top 20 team (best team on their schedule is St. Louis).

So, when everyone is clamoring for them to get a 1 seed two months from now, keep that in mind.

Mitch McGary having back surgery... out indefinitely.... I'm assuming for the year?

I would assume that. Nothing I read mentions any discussion of him returning this year. Really tough break right before Big Ten season. Tourney might be hard to make without him.

I don't see it happening. Love to be wrong though.

They have beat 4 RPI Top 100 teams, hopefully those can become a couple Top 50's. Gone on the road and won 3 games. Have the #52 ranked schedule to this point. Really too bad the Valley is now so God awful (losing Creighton and adding Loyola). All they can do is keep winning games and see what happens.
