It is kind of amazing what an NIT championship will do for a fan's confidence.

The NIT championship was underachieving for the talent that team had, but I imagine it would be nice to have a football team that scores 60 points a game.

Plus it's the [expletive] pre-season you're supposed to cheer for the B1G. Unless you are an [expletive] in general.

I'm not even sure what he's trolling here besides logic, reason, and basic addition.

I was making fun of the fact you thought Iowa won the NIT.

Iowa not actually winning the NIT was part of the joke. Serves me right for assuming you could pick up on some basic sarcasm as well.

Illinois looked good today (from what I saw). There's a good team in there, it's up to Groce to coax it out.

Rice is a different player minus that weight, Tate has been a pleasant surprise and Egwu is improving.

Next year is going to be exciting.

Rice is newcomer of the year

He's been better than expected, imo. I was expecting something of a bull, but with that weight off he's quick and has displayed surprising hops.

And I'm liking Jaylon Tate. If he improves, I think we may end up in a situation where forcing Abrams off of the point becomes a legitimate option. I like Tracy, I just don't think he's a true PG. And if Tate is what he appears to be, it's be hard to justify leaving Abrams as the primary PG through next season.

Blah tough loss for UM today. I didn't really expect Michigan to come in to Ames and win (although didnt think it was impossible), but it sucks to see them lead for a lot of the 2nd half and just fall apart down the stretch. Michigan probably has the hardest non-conference schedule in the county this year so hopefully they learn and grow from this tough test. Good to see McGary back and looking good though.

I think KU's is probably harder, but we'll see after the noncon.

Hey snood--

With Cliff Alexander committing to Kansas--in about the most classless way possible, I might add--JaQuan Lyle is expected to visit soon. I'd say Kansas is likely to be in good shape with him when/if that happens. Again, Lyle is an outstanding talent but with maturity issues (one would think Kansas and Self would be well-positioned to handle him).

Cliff said he is also going to KU. Does Self even want JaQuan?

I have no idea. But I'd have to think Self, like any coach, would be interested in a player as talented as Lyle.

well couldn't ask for a better recruiting visit than that for rashad vaughn. now let's hope unlv puts on another lose to dixie state-esque performance next week and he tells them to [expletive] off.

Wow, Purdue just landed 2014 7' 2" big man Isaac Haas. He had been comitted to Wake Forrest, didn't sign his papers when expected and then everyone thought he was going to UAB to stay close to home.

I think self has one scholarship left and wants turner. The number two player in that class. I'm not sure he wants Lyle.
