Question: If a magic genie said you could:

1. Choose that the Reds win the World Series (meaning the Cardinals don't)

OR

2. Take your chances that neither of them will win the World Series and just let it play out

What would you do?

I take number 1 without even thinking about it.

I'd probably take 2. But I'd have to think about it.

2 and it's not even close

What kind of question is that? I'd root for the Cardinals over the Reds, and even if I wouldn't I'd take 2.

TBS Pitch Tracker is terrible. Not even close.

Real nice of the Nationals not taking advantage of Garcia being terrible. And now Zimmermann is throwing up meatballs.

Garcia's done now, also.

Awesome call by Matheny to pinch-hit there.

If that were the Cubs, Descalso would have jogged home and failed to score when Jay was thrown out at 2b.

Agreed. Garcia didn't have it. Plus, with the off day tomorrow, no reason for the Cardinals to not treat this as all hands on deck. The Cardinals do not want to go to Washington down 0-2.

Yeah. Even if the pitcher's spot didn't come up that inning I think you need to make that move. It's almost a no-brainer with the rally.

Jordan Zimmermann gave up more than 4 runs exactly one time this year. Naturally, that other time was also St. Louis.

I love how their Jason Dubois became a star.

The obvious reply to this is "Which one?"

All of them. I can't wait for Pete Kozma to have an .800 plus OPS next year.

Lot of ex-Cubs (major and minor leaguers) on these playoff teams.

Orioles:

Ryan Flaherty

Yankees:

Clay Rapada

Casey McGehee (not on ALDS roster, consideration for ALCS)

David Aardsma (ineligable for postseason roster)

Rangers: (technically on the Rangers postseason roster)

Ryan Dempster

Geovany Soto

Oakland A's:

Josh Donaldson

Tigers:

Al Albuquerque

Reds:

Sean Marshall

Nationals:

Tom Gorzelanny

Chad Tracy

Mark DeRosa (didnt make NLDS roster. Supposedly a good chance to make NLCS roster)

Giants:

Ryan Theriot

Angel Pagan

Braves: (again technically)

Paul Maholm

Jeff Baker

Reed Johnson

I do not remember Tom Gorzelanny being a Cub at all for some reason.

f the reds and all their fans. i'd rather the cardinals win, because seriously, what's 1 more title to them? the most fairweather fans in baseball from the most fairweather city don't deserve a championship.

This. It's going to be unbearable around here if the Reds win it all. Biggest [expletive] bandwagon fan base in baseball.

I know the Cubs have been bad for a few years, but how is this possible? He appeared in almost 50 games with the Cubs.

edit: also, you forgot Jerry Blevins on the A's, UMFan
