The line in the Ole Miss/Fla game is Fla -17.5

Florida are serious, serious arse-kickers. SEC basketball is especially terrible this year (even more so than usual) and Florida is winning their SEC games by an average of like 25 points or something around there.

We suck.

Oh man we are gonna struggle to another 30 win season, get a one seed, and probably make a final four. Can we ban this guy from this thread? Jesus snood, enjoy the ride once.

I wish Purdue sucked as bad as Kansas

Right, we all do. Unless we are UCLA, Kentucky, UNC, Duke, or IU fans we all want our program to be that good.

anyhow, i got my money on malcolm hill being mr. basketball in illinois his year.

He should be, I'm betting Parker gets it. Even though he hasn't been the best player on his own team this year.

What do Illinois guys think of Tyler Ulis?

Painter has lost this team. There will be roster turnover. That's a good thing.

That damn Purdue loss could be the difference in Iowa getting a bid. Had one of our worst shooting games in 3 years and still were in position to win it in regulation but pissed it away.

I kind of wish we would offer him, but I get why we haven't. He's really small and we want Lyle.

Lyle would be a huge coup. He's immature/pouty at times but his court-vision/passing is next-level stuff. Probably the best I've ever seen in Indiana.

Yeah some are saying he's down to Illinois and Louisville. I'm not so sure I buy that though.

Don't, it's creepy.

With the Kansas loss, tonight's game is literally a battle for the #1 ranking. Michigan and Florida are the best 2 teams in the nation, IMO. But obviously if IU wins, they leap Michigan and I don't think Florida can make a claim over IU for #1.

As for the game tonight, I think it's going to come down to who shoots the ball the best. They gotta stop Hulls, we gotta stop Stauskas. Burke v. Ferrell and Hardaway v. Oladipo are going to be amazing matchups to watch. Really like our guys on D, and to potentially get those guys in foul trouble with their attacking styles. Not that Burke won't get 20 and 8 regardless, but part of me is hoping Yogi can Appling him, get him into foul trouble early and keep him from establishing any rhythm. Granted Burke is a different player this year, but last year IU held him and Hardaway Jr. to 11-34 shooting. Tim Jr. in particular is prone to poor shooting games on the road.

IU shoots way more FTs than Michigan, so if Zeller inside and Watford driving against heavier guys can get a couple of their bigs in foul trouble, I think we can win. But they'll attack Zeller themselves in the post and try to get him into trouble. IU also has more depth, but has to get something from that depth or it doesn't matter. Abell has to give them some good minutes. Sheehey has to do his thing. Hollowell may even have to play some minutes at the 3 on Robinson.

IU is also going to have to be pretty patient as Michigan doesn't turn the ball over very much, so that cuts out a lot of IUs offensive output on the fast break.

I think a big key is whether Jordan Morgan plays. Less than 2 hours before tipoff and it looks like its still up in the air. Against many teams I think UM would be ok with McGary and Horford eating up the minutes, but against Indiana we need as many quality bigs as possible. They McGary and Horford get into foul trouble like they sort of did against Illinois, it will be hard to recover.

Yeah, and he's the type of big body that could give Zeller some trouble. I don't really see the other 2 as really offensive factors, though McGary and Morgan's numbers are similar.

Go blue

Shouldn't you be rooting for an IU win so they come to Champaign as the #1 team and set up for a potential let down?

No, I'd rather IU not be #1 when they beat us by 20 in Champaign.
