I'm assuming Wisconsin beats MSU in the title game.

Rose: Wisconsin

BCS: Michigan

Cap One: Nebraska

Outback: MSU

Insight: Ohio State

Gator: Iowa

Meineke: Penn State

Ticket City: Illinois

Little Ceasars: Purdue

New Orleans: Northwestern

Penn State is toxic to advertisers.

You don't think that more people would watch a bowl game with all the talk, however bad, of Penn State instead of someone like Iowa? I guess attendance would be a bigger issue though.

BTW, if Tulsa upsets Houston next week (which is very plausible), then it's likely that it will be a 2 loss TCU squad that goes to the BCS with the non-AQ automatic berth.

As I've always said, I don't care what kind of season we have as long as we beat those [expletive] rivals from Purdue, I'll be happy.

Well now, that's obviously not true.

Iowa players were celebrating until they realized they had to go back to the state of Iowa, even though they won.

I think if they lost tonight some how it could make things interesting but other wise, unless they lose twice they are in (is that possible, if they lose to Arkansas do they make the SEC title game).

If Arkansas beats LSU and Alabama beats Auburn, all three are 11-1 and it goes to the 7th tiebreaker, which is BCS rankings. However, if they're within 5 spots of one another, then it's head to head between the top two.

USC 14, Oregon 0. Bama fans are real happy right now.

IMO, Oregon losing is bad for Alabama. I don't think there was any realistic scenario that Oregon passed Alabama. The only realistic way anybody passes Alabama at this point is avoiding the rematch and Oregon doesn't offer that (I don't think the not winning their conference thing will be a big deal). But what Oregon losing does do is eliminate the buffer between Alabama and Oklahoma/Oklahoma State. Those are the teams Alabama should be scared by and they'll get closer if Oregon loses (of course, that's assuming Oklahoma wins which isn't a safe assumption).

Arkansas is also a big winner if Oregon loses. The higher they get in the BCS standings entering the game with LSU, the bigger chance they somehow jump Alabama with a win over LSU. It's still not very likely, but it gets more likely with Oregon or Oklahoma losses.

Is it correct that if UCLA holds on today and then beats USC that they are in the Pac-12 title game? Not that it would happen but a 5 loss team in the Rose Bowl would be strange.

It is correct.

UCLA won't beat USC, though.

Is USC able to play in the title game?

I thought they said USC would be ranked if not for the NCAA. But maybe I wasn't hearing the whole story. I guess that doesn't really answer whether they can play in the title game either.

I havent watched any UCLA games this season, but I just remember a mediocre UCLA squad beating a USC team that was in line for the Title game back in 2006.

lol the end of FSU/Virginia was insane

11 seconds left, FSU down 1 looking at a 47 yard FG for the win, instead they run a play towards the sidelines, and the officials ruled that it was a completion and the guy did not go out of bounds, so the time ran out and Virginia "won". But they reviewed the catch and it was definitely incomplete, so they reset the clock to 8 seconds left. Then when trying the FG, their O-line jumped and flags were thrown. They were looking at a 10 second runoff because of it which would end the game, but the officials threw the flag on the defense for barking out signals trying to make the offense jump. So a 47 yard FG became a 42 yard FG. Well you can guess what happened next, FSU's kicker missed the FG to end the game.
