Penn State is toxic to advertisers.

By the time the bowls come around, they'll be able to spin it as "look at these gutsy kids trying to win in the face of adversity".

Attendance won't be an issue

Robert Griffin III should be right with all the other top names in the Heisman discussion. Not his fault his D is awful. Dude just went for almost 500 yards, 4 TD and 0 INT against Oklahoma and led the GW TD drive in 50 seconds.

i was thinking the same thing; a player can't really be much more outstanding or valuable to their team than he's been

4 games over 400 yards, 8 with 3+ td passes. After Luck I would take him as the 2nd QB in the draft.

I think he's going #2. I'd rather have him than Barkley.

So 2,4,5,7 lost to teams with a highest ranking of 22 this weekend?

Stanford is only up one at half too.

That one is a really big game for at-large hopefuls. If Stanford finds a way to be driven out of the top 14 (which might take two more losses depending on how it shakes out) that would leave the Pac 12 without an at-large candidate. Right now, the Sugar Bowl may have to pick from 2 teams out of Michigan/Kansas State/Stanford/Boise State/maybe Baylor. After Michigan, there's no easy 2nd choice for a bowl in that scenario.

Oh [expletive] it, they just showed a ND player getting his knee blown up on the news without warning. Jerks.

Yeah, that was really bad. ND wasn't going to beat Stanford anyway, but any thought of it probably went up in smoke now that we've only got one RB for that game. That means Kelly's going to unleash Rees, which could mean 4 or 5 INTs instead of just 1 or 2.

Why do you think ND had no shot against Stanford? I'm not sure Stanford is all that great.

Sorry, but I have to say it.. Collin Klein! UT has a GREAT defense. Klein hasn't practiced in 2 weeks, cuz of the hits he's taken this year. KSU wouldn't be anywhere close to 9-2 without him. He's been more valuable to KSU than Griffin has been to Baylor. No doubt about it. 25 rushing TD's as a qb.. outstanding!

I love what Griffin's done, but I still think I'd rather have Barkley. Despite his age, I think Weeden should be in the conversation as well. Could make an argument for any of them as the 2nd best QB prospect.

As I've always said, I don't care what kind of season we have as long as we beat those [expletive] rivals from Purdue, I'll be happy.

Well now, that's obviously not true.

Sarcasm. The new B1G format made Iowa and Purdue protected rivals.

Iowa players were celebrating until they realized they had to go back to the state of Iowa, even though they won.

Hey we can't all be lucky enough to live in West Lafayette.

Weeden is no Chris Weinke, but I don't think his tools and development are at a level where he's anywhere near the #2 available QB prospect.

I agree with you.

why is ESPN saying the BCS is becoming more chaotic. I think it has become much more clear in the last couple of days. I think the only way it becomes more chaotic at this point is if Alabama losses to Auburn or LSU losses to Arkansas or Georgia.

Reason #7384791348 the BCS is stupid: There is a not entirely far-fetched scenario in which two of LSU, Alabama, and Arkansas do not make a BCS bowl, but a 7-win UCLA does.

Before UCLA's win and Oregon's loss tonight, there was a possibility UCLA makes the Rose Bowl without being bowl-eligible.

I missed everything that happened tonight, but it appears the SEC got the perfect storm it needed for LSU-Alabama II, yes? How lucky.

Arkansas is still looming and will probably end up at #3 tomorrow.

After that...it's anyone's guess between VTech, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Boise State, and Houston to round out the Top 5. Yeesh.

Tough luck fOr Arkansas, but they aren't making the SEC title game under any realistic scenario.
