Top exciting on the field moments since Carr in chronological order:

1 Random inexplicable comeback vs. Wisconsin 2008

2 Tate Forcier's game winning TD drive vs. ND 2009

3 Denard Robinson's first 6 games of 2010

4 Denard's Hail Mary fest vs. ND 2011

5 This

I thought about putting Michigan making a stop on defense vs. Illinois 2010 on the list but I figure Illinois fans here have had a hard enough time today.

Those were all exciting moments, but this feels like we've finally turned a corner. You know every one of us was thinking "here we go again..." when we lost to Iowa, but then we come back with 2 great wins against Illinois and Nebraska.

I don't think sneaky was...he's remained pretty optimistic.

I know I was probably saying negative things after that game, but it was clear, mostly because of the defense that this team was much better than the previous 3 years, mostly because their defense actually existed.

First road win in over a year for Iowa. If they beat Nebraska, and I don't see why they can't, that would give them 8 wins which I'd take all things considered.

Anybody have any idea who controls their own destiny in the Big East at this point? Does anybody? I tried to work through some of the tiebreakers and got really lost. After the early games, you have Louisville and Rutgers at 4-2, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh at 3-2, and Connecticut at 2-3.

The real question is, does anyone care? God the Big East is so pointless.

Well yeah they did just clinch a Big Ten Title game berth. Good for them! Gotta take some of the pain away from having the 2nd best BBall recruiting class in the state next year.

This will definitely be the most excited I've been for Michigan Ohio State since 2006. And although there's something in the back of my head that keeps saying to worry, I have to feel pretty confident at home against an Ohio State team simply trying to avoid a 6-6 season (if they lose to PSU)

Did Ed Martin have some relatives take over the family business?

I'm going to argue that even if LSU loses a game, they still belong in the title game. LSU's resume' will still be stronger than any other one loss team.

I don't see how they could put a one-loss Bama or a one-loss Oregon in the title game over one loss LSU when LSU beat both Bama and Oregon.

I know crazy things happen when teams lose late, but LSU could still lose a game and would have a strong case for being in the title game.

I would say a very strong case. LSU has easily the strongest resume if you just look at the big wins/loss category even with a loss. It isn't quite as strong if you look at their whole strength of schedule but it still stacks up as well as the Big 12 teams and Alabama and Arkansas and better than Oregon. It wouldn't be a travesty if they would be left out, but only if it was one of Alabama/Arkansas and Oklahoma/Oklahoma State that replaced them (I don't see how it would be fair to let Oregon go as they would have a worse resume than LSU+the small factor of head to head). And LSU would still have a very good argument.

I think if they lost tonight some how it could make things interesting but other wise, unless they lose twice they are in (is that possible, if they lose to Arkansas do they make the SEC title game).

So Big Ten Bowl Projections after this week. This is the first time I've ever done something like this so apologize if I'm missing something obvious. Also, Obvious Wisconsin is still eligible for the Rose Bowl, I'm just basing it off the current standings.

Rose Bowl: Michigan State/Penn State vs. Pac 12 Champion/BCS At-Large (Stanford if Oregon makes NC game?)

BCS Bowl: Michigan vs. BCS selection

Capital One: Wisconsin vs. SEC

Outback: Michigan State/Penn State loser vs. SEC

Gator Bowl: Nebraska vs. SEC

Insight Bowl: Iowa vs. Big 12

Meineke Car Care: Ohio State vs. Big 12

Ticket City: Illinois vs. C-USA or Big 12

Little Cesars: Northwestern/Purdue vs. MAC

If Purdue wins next week (against Indiana), someone's gonna get left out, unless there is some at large scenario I'm not aware of.

Edit: I guess its likely that a Big Ten team would sub in for Army and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl since Army isnt bowl eligible.

Do OSU fans shed tears every time they lose?

I hope so

It seems like every time they lose at home they fine a couple of fans who are crying like their dad died and it's strange.
