the bears continue to win games and i continue to start the thread.

here are the teams that have beat the bears this year:

saints

packers

lions

those are really good teams! but if we want to be a really good team, we cannot just lose every time we play someone with a good record. so this would be a good week to go and do something cool.

gabe carimi seems like he will probably be ready to come back, but it's unclear what he's going to do. strangely, lance louis is og now, and i don't mean offensive guard.

the line seems to be bears by either 2.5 or 3.

Leaving for vacation on Thursday...heading to Florida for a week, and no cable in the condo we're staying in. Time to find a place to watch this game in Tampa.

Bucs play at home this week so it will probably be blacked out.

Then again, the Bears are on at 4:15 so they might be on no matter what

Yeah, I think only the Bucs game would be blacked out. Not all NFL games.

There's some fun waterfront places with the games on somewhere around there. Haven't been in a while though.

feels a little strange with the bears as favorites again. But I'm liking what I'm seeing with this team. I have issues with a lot of Lovie's coaching decisions, but there is no denying he gets them ready to play as well as any coach out there. Their resurgence seems to be tied to the embarrassment against the Lions last time, and I'm thinking revenge will be the primary motivator this tme.

I'm pretty damn excited about this game. If the Bears win, it would take a big time meltdown to not make the playoffs.

That being said, I think the Lions are a terrible matchup for the Bears, moreso if Best is healthy. I'll say: Lions 28, Bears 24.

I know. I was saying if there Bears were on at 1 you might have a chance because the Bucs will probably be blacked out. But the game is at 4:15, and there are only usually 1-2 games on at that time slot, and the fact that the game was moved there 2 weeks ago makes it likely its the premier game during that time, meaning you will probably get to see the game without having to go somewhere with Sunday Ticket.

what do you mean "having to go". He should jump at the chance.

Take out the Calvin Johnson 73 yard TD catch and the Jahvid Best 88 yard TD run, the Bears only allowed 234 yards to the Lions in the other 45 plays. And that's still with a couple big gains thrown in. The Bears haven't allowed a really big play since then. If Best doesn't play, they won't get a big play in the run game. New safeties + with 100% focus on Calvin Johnson = Bears win this game. I think the Bears keep them under 20 also.

Now you're making me consider benching Stafford for Cutler for the first time this year.

We'll find out if the O-line is as good as they looked yesterday.

I think they will be better, don't know if they'll match yesterday. The lack of noise and the horrible grass will slow the pressure up enough to where they become useful.

They'll likely have a chip on their shoulder.

Don Banks never ceases to disappoint in his completely inexplicable disregard for everything Chicago Bears. He lists his 25 remaining games that will have an impact on playoff races, and does not list the Bears at all. He lists four seperate Bengals games, but apparently there are no remaining Bears games that will have any impact on the playoffs.

That Bears/Lions game is completely meaningless.

Yahoo's NFL Halfway Point All-Underrated Team:

Left Guard: Chris Williams, Chicago Bears

Surprised? So were we that this former bust of a first-round left tackle out of Vanderbilt could become such a great success as a guard, especially in Chicago's offensive line. But watch the way Williams is not only blocking man-on-man but using his agility to pull right and execute seal blocks on the right edge.
