Gus: Diaz is 3-3 from the line in Big Ten play.

They've played 6 games. He's their 6'11 center.

To be slightly less embarrassing, he missed the first few games.

Gotcha.

Hulls should have just gone into the shot blocker's chest and stayed with his right hand instead of getting rejected by the bottom of the rim.

LOL. Doc Sadler was just high-fiving the fans who were surrounding him on the court. Then while everyone was just standing he started jumping up and down.

Worst, most frustrating loss I can remember. I only came here so you guys can rub it in and say all the awful things that I can't seem to come up with on my own.

I hate this team right now.

Stuck listening to the Wisconsin announcers with the Hawks game on WGN and this broadcast team is absolutely awful. Mispronounced names, awkward pauses... I feel like this is a prank.

ETA: This has to be the student radio station.

The way IU is playing right now I would not assume ANYTHING and that includes the Nebraska road game. This team hasn't looked quite right since the 1st half of the Michigan game.

Eh, they played well until the last 5 minutes of the Penn St. game. Minnesota was just an odd game. The Gophers definitely wanted it more and got to every loose ball. IU also inexplicably couldn't knock down shots at home. The game in Columbus was going to be a loss either way, wish it wasn't as bad as it was, but they also smothered IU defensively which we weren't prepared to deal with. I think they get back on track.

I'm telling you man, Tom Crean must start feeding his team rat poison after about 5 Big Ten games each season. They just fall to [expletive] all of a sudden. And they never really had a truly dominant grip on that PSU game. It just isn't the same IU team now.

It's not like it gets a lot easier from here, either. At this point 20-11 looks shaky, and that includes the cupcake thrown in between @ Iowa and @ Minny. This season just got a whole lot uglier.

"We knew how good they were. Our guys had great edge tonight. They had excellent energy. We did so many good things."

Good lord, Coach Clappy has turned into Bill Lynch. :banghead:

ANY road win is a good win, period.

Michigan has 0 -- losses at Virginia, Indiana and Iowa.

Illinois has 2 -- at Maryland and NW

Are you just ignoring that Michigan has a road win over Oakland this year? Not exactly the most quality of opponent (RPI in the 120s I think) but you make it seem like Michigan hasn't won on the road all season. They are 1-3 with 2 of the 3 losses coming to top 20 opponents. Also, going with your argument that home wins are [expletive] and road wins are everything, where do you put a neutral victory over a NCAA bound Memphis team?

No one is making the argument that they are a final 4 team or even a contender for the Big Ten, just that they are building an NCAA quality resume. Although a big road win would obviously validate them more (thought we were close when we lost by 2 in Bloomington), as others have pointed out, teams that have had success in the tournament have gone all season without a good road win in the past.

I'm not ignoring anything -- I just don't count the Palace of Freaking Auburn Hills a ROAD game.

The Memphis win is OK (actually, I'll edit this to "pretty good"), but Memphis really is just not that great. Below average conference and they may not even win it. The win looked better at the time than it does now.
